My Best Shot Monday: Rainy Softball*
On Friday night we went to my husband’s softball game (he’s in 3 leagues, so he has games Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights during the summer), thinking that we were avoiding the scattered storms that really looked like they were going to miss us to the south.
Um, not so much. It POURED. And then, of course, all the guys agreed that they wanted to keep playing rather than cancel the game.
But at least I came away from it with some cool shots…

I really loved the colors in this one. (ETA: Wordpress squishes my horizontal pics slightly, so you might want to click through to see it correctly if you’re getting some wonky pixelation on the fence.)

That mud spatter all the way up his back is from running the bases.

Dorrie was not interested in staying under her giraffe umbrella (that has eyes and ears, and is painfully cute) with me, she much preferred catching the raindrops in her mouth.
More Best Shots here.
*I was so tempted to say “Soggy Softball” or possibly “Soppy Softball” but then I decided the alliteration was far too much and I should control myself.

Three different leagues?! Wow! These are great captures – love the uniqueness of the fence one, but Dori just totally makes me smile. :D

First, I disagree on the alliteration…I am addicted, and OFTEN can not contol myself. LOL…(my post this week REALLY is too much)
Anyway, these photos are GREAT! I do love the first one- so cool! And the sweet girl catching rain drops in her mouth…OH! How cute. The umbrella does sound adorable though.

It’s much more fun to catch raindrops in your mouth. Love that one.

HA! I can be shameless w/ the alliteration.
I can’t believe Russ is in THREE leagues!! Holy schmoles. I hear he has a little day job too.
I love that photo of the chain-link fence. The waterdrops on it are mighty cool. And Dorrie’s open-mouthed welcome to the raindrops is just so adorable!
