Happy Things
I’m borrowing this idea from cagey.
10 Things That Made Me Happy In The Past Week
1. Jonas started smiling this week. Granted, his first smile was at a drooping helium balloon left over from Valentine’s Day, and Dorrie has gotten 5 or so smiles to my 1, but it’s a pretty adorable milestone anyway.

2. Dorrie is sick with a stomach bug, but is incredibly sweet and stoic even though she feels terrible. She’s a joy to be around even when she’s sick.
3. The baptism and birthday party is this weekend which means friends and family will be visiting.
4. Dorrie has been periodically (maybe, say 30% of the time or so) cooperating with my photography practice. Plus, have a subject that can’t really object yet.

5. The weather is no longer below 20 degrees F on a constant basis.
6. My husband is the most thoughtful husband of anyone I know. And pretty darned hot for a (just turned) 30 year old, too.

7. Dorrie’s obsession with Buzz Lightyear continues. And a sweet friend sent her a hockey jersey that is possibly one of the cutest things ever.

And of course she was all shy about it as well when she first saw it – she acts completely starstruck for the first 5-10 minutes. It is painfully adorable to watch.

8. These two kids seem to really like each other so far.
9. My house is a disaster but I have a really cute helper.
10. Coffee.

RE #10: Beer?

Beer does not keep me awake, though.

The kids are ADORABLE. I love the first smiles, too. Just wait until Dorrie and Jonas start cracking each other up. That is the best.
Also, I just realized I never popped into your comments to say CONGRATULATIONS on Jonas. I am SO sorry. He is such a sweetie.
Beer vs. coffee is a close call, indeed. But coffee rules because you can 1)drink it all day long and 2) drink it at WORK. Heh.

Oh. re: Buzz LIghtyear – Meant to mention – is it not frustrating that certain characters are deemed girl vs. boy? Anjali loves animals and dinosaurs – wish me luck finding good girl clothes with those themes.

Your kids are adorable!
It looks like you’re falling into a routine, I know how hard those first few weeks can be….
