We moved into this house 3 years ago. There are a lot of things that are still not even close to home-like – sometimes I feel like we’re still living in an apartment waiting to move at any moment. Things like cheap Target bookshelves, decorations waiting to be hung on walls, etc.

However, I did manage to make a big step forward this week! I finally figured out a great way to hide the office area from the rest of the spare bedroom while still keeping it usable. I still used cheap stuff from Target, but I guess we can take it one step at a time!

Our office sits in a closet that has had the doors removed and shelves put up. It’s a mess because we never use it, it is mainly office-related storage space and where our desktop computer/modem/router live. I decided to try putting up thin curtains to make it look more finished, and I think it actually made a big difference.

Now we just have to get the mirror up on top of the dresser. Hopefully it won’t be another 3 years before we get to that…
